Mercedes-Benz Places Miami: Design, Plans and Buyer Research

Developer-sourced design and project details for Mercedes-Benz Places Miami, with questions to ask about a specific residence, shared facilities, costs and delivery.

Correction, September 6, 2026: Rewritten against JDS Development’s current project account. Unsupported prices, sold percentage, delivery forecast and residential count removed; design and proposed-use claims attributed to the developer.

Mercedes-Benz Places Miami is a mixed-use development at 1133 Southwest 2nd Avenue in Brickell. JDS Development Group’s project page, updated August 6, 2026 and checked for this guide on September 6, describes 67 stories and a phase of under construction with active sales. These are developer-reported project details, not a site inspection or a promise of delivery.

The design team and proposed uses

JDS identifies SHoP Architects, executive architect ODP, residential interiors by Woods Bagot and landscape design by Field Operations. Its project account describes condominium residences, hotel, office and wellness uses, together with the Southside Park work.

The current developer page describes studios through three-bedroom residences. We have removed the earlier article’s unsupported price range, price-per-square-foot estimate, sold percentage and 2029 completion claim. We also withhold a residential unit total: the project page’s overall unit figure does not by itself resolve the count for each use.

The primary source is [JDS Development Group’s Mercedes-Benz Places project page](https://jdsdevelopment.com/portfolio/mercedes-benz-places-miami). Return to it for the developer’s latest description, then compare that description with the documents for the specific residence.

Questions that make the brand comparison useful

A brand name is a starting point for research. Ask which design specifications and services appear in the purchase agreement, who will provide them, what they cost and what happens if the arrangements change. Do the documents distinguish residential facilities from hotel or commercial facilities? Which spaces are shared, and who determines access?

Compare the residence’s actual floor plan with your priorities: usable rooms, storage, balcony layout, window orientation and the route from parking to the unit. Request dated plans and identify which features remain proposed. A rendering does not document a completed residence.

Costs, timing and ownership documents

Request a current written price and availability statement for the exact unit. Keep the quoted date, included items and exclusions alongside it. Our site has no live Miami MLS feed; sample units are not evidence of available inventory or current prices.

Before relying on a delivery schedule, ask what the agreement says about completion, extensions and remedies. Ask a qualified adviser to explain the deposit terms, cancellation rights, financing assumptions and ownership structure. For a mixed-use project, identify any shared-facility agreements and the method for allocating costs. These are questions to resolve, not findings about this project’s contracts.
